Michael Austin
Founder & President
Mike Austin formed the first of several successful Austin Companies, Austin General Contracting (AGC) in 2005, adding on Austin Millwork & Cabinetry (AMC) and Austin Door & Hardware (ADH) soon after. As President, Mr. Austin is ultimately responsible for successfully creating and maintaining the most respected collection of businesses in the Southwest.
John Ewing
Executive Vice President
John Ewing brings more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry as a key leader of the Austin Millwork & Cabinetry (AMC) team. Each client’s needs and satisfaction are paramount to John who maximizes the company’s operating performance and goals through strategic planning, customer development, and general operations.
Michael Stella
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Stella joined Austin Companies in 2007. During his tenure, the Finance and Accounting department has grown from two employees to more than thirteen today. As CFO, Mr. Stella is responsible for managing the functional accounting departments (billing/accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources/payroll, general ledger, tax/financial reporting), working with the companies’ lenders to maintain access to working capital and financing, as well as oversight of the companies’ growing technology investment.
Steven Noonan
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Steven manages AMC’s daily operations which includes overseeing and directing Drafting and Engineering, Pre and Post Production, Plant Operations, and coordination with associated trades. He works closely with Project Management teams and Field Operations to develop and maintain schedules. His dedication and “can do” attitude to achieve the client’s expectations paired with his 37 years of experience in the Las Vegas construction industry that began as a finish carpenter’s apprentice gives Steven an edge while participating in projects from start to finish.
John Tobisch
Operations Manager
John Tobisch has worked in the Las Vegas construction industry for over 28 years. At Austin Companies, John oversees all day-to-day operations at Austin Millwork & Cabinetry (AMC) with a primary focus on production and installation. John demonstrates a direct approach coupled with forward thinking. This, along with excellent leadership skills, can-do attitude, and extensive level of experience helps AMC clients to achieve their goals.
Wade Smith
Director of Safety
Originally from Cleburne, Texas, Wade is a strategic and results-driven safety professional with over 20 years of experience establishing zero-incident safety cultures. Recognized for translating complex regulatory standards into actionable, financially sensible programs, Wade specializes in risk assessment, root cause analysis, and behavior-based safety initiatives. Throughout his career, Wade has successfully directed multi-site safety operations, consistently decreasing OSHA recordable incident rates and lost-time days]. He is a proven leader in worker participation and hazard identification, designing Emergency Action Plans and comprehensive training programs that empower employees and foster a unified safety-first mindset. Wade holds a Master’s Degree in Business and actively maintains certifications such as ICRA 1.0, SafeLand and SafeGulf Instructor, NCCER Master Trainer and Administrator, First Aid Instructor, Certified Safety Manager, ComTrain Instructor, Certified Hazardous Material Supervisor, Safety Certified Construction Supervisor.
